When does gastric acidity occur?

It is the potassium salt of citric acid and in this form it is highly bioavailable.
Potassium citrate is a buffer, an acidity regulator. It is widely used in the pharmaceutical industry for its digestive and anti-acid properties.
Being a weak acid, when in contact with hydrochloric acid (strong acid) present in the stomach at a pH between 1 and 3, potassium citrate acts as a base by subtracting hydrogen ions from hydrochloric acid to form potassium chloride and citric acid (weak acid).

Hyaluronic acid
Hyaluronic acid is a molecule capable of protecting damaged gastric tissue by promoting its regeneration. Thanks to its ability to store water, hyaluronic acid creates a kind of protective film on the esophageal mucosa, preventing damage.

Icelandic Lichen
Icelandic Lichen is a lichen that naturally contains polysaccharides, mucilages, lichenin, usnic acid, cetraric acid (or cetrarin) and B vitamins.
Among the various polysaccharides, the most important is lichenin, and it has emollient and protective properties useful for the mucous membranes of the digestive and respiratory systems. These properties are useful for counteracting inflammation of the mucous membranes.

Once ingested, inside the stomach, sodium alginate reacts with the hydrochloric acid secreted in the stomach, releasing alginic acid which gels in the presence of water.
